Emirates SkyCargo transported over 153,000 tonnes of exports from India during FY 2025/26, the airline said, as it expands its footprint across one of its most active trade corridors.
The carrier operates more than 3,000 tonnes of weekly air cargo capacity across nine Indian gateways, connecting exporters to markets in the Middle East, Europe, the Americas and Africa.
It has now added freighter services to Bengaluru, Chennai and Hyderabad, bringing the total number of weekly freighter flights to India to seven. Those flights run alongside capacity offered on Emirates’ 167 weekly passenger services.
Pharmaceuticals and perishables make up the bulk of what moves. Each week, Emirates SkyCargo flies more than 650 tonnes of pharmaceutical goods and over 600 tonnes of fresh food and other perishables from India through Dubai to global destinations. Between April and June 2026 alone, the carrier flew close to 2,900 tonnes of Indian mangoes to international customers.

India-UAE trade is a growing part of that picture. Non-oil trade between the two countries is expanding at around 15 per cent annually, the company said, supported in part by the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement that came into effect in May 2022. Emirates SkyCargo handled more than 28,000 tonnes of Indian exports to the UAE in FY25/26, up 24 per cent from the previous year.
The carrier also runs a road feeder network giving businesses outside major gateway cities access to its system. Over the past 12 months, more than 4,500 tonnes of cargo moved through that trucking connectivity.
India handles an estimated 2.2 million tonnes of international air cargo annually across its airports.
