Masdar City Free Zone has introduced an Emirati Package aimed at lowering the cost of company formation for UAE nationals, with setup fees starting from AED 5,000.
The offer includes basic business infrastructure support: a professional email account, a one-page website, a starter logo, a company profile, and a LinkedIn page. Access to advisory services and mentorship networks, including programmes aimed specifically at Emirati women, is also part of the package.
The launch was timed to coincide with Emirati Women’s Day on 28 August and the broader UAE Year of Family. The free zone is framing the initiative as a contribution to the UAE government’s target of more than two million registered companies by 2031 under its Falcon Economy vision.
“Our role at Masdar City is to prepare today’s innovators for tomorrow’s opportunities. The Year of Family reminds us that empowering our citizens through entrepreneurship and skills development is one of the most effective ways to ensure prosperity for generations to come. This package reflects our commitment to the UAE’s vision for economic excellence, making it easier for Emiratis to enter the market, grow successful businesses and contribute to the enduring strength of our nation,” Dr. Mohamed Al Breiki, Executive Director of Masdar City said in a statement.
Masdar City Free Zone currently hosts more than 2,500 companies from over 90 countries. The free zone says it registered approximately 1,000 new companies in 2025 alone, representing 36 per cent growth in total registered businesses and a 33 per cent expansion in job opportunities year-on-year. Its tenant base spans clean technology, smart mobility, life sciences, agritech, and space technology.
