The Ras Al Khaimah Chamber of Commerce and Industry has launched the “RAK Ambassador” initiative, a community-driven programme that enlists residents and citizens to promote the emirate as a destination for tourism and investment.

The scheme, which the Chamber describes as the first of its kind at the emirate level, sits within the targets of Ras Al Khaimah Vision 2030. It asks participants to invite friends and relatives based outside the UAE to visit the emirate, with the aim of boosting hotel occupancy, visitor spending, and broader economic activity.

Rashid Khalfan Al Nuaimi, Director General of the Ras Al Khaimah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, said the initiative is designed to enrich the tourism and investment experience by bringing community members into the promotion effort. “The programme aims to enhance the diversity and attractiveness of the emirate for visitors and investors through engaging members of the community as ambassadors for Ras Al Khaimah,” he said.

Both hosts and guests stand to receive benefits when programme requirements are met, including discounts on hotel stays, restaurants, cafés, and car rentals, as well as entry tickets to tourist attractions and offers on water activities, safari trips, and shopping.

To participate, residents or citizens must be 18 or older and register their guest’s details before the visitor arrives in the country. Guests must be travelling from outside the UAE on a tourist visa or be eligible for a visa on arrival. Each host can nominate more than one visitor, and the campaign runs from 19 August to 31 October 2026.

Al Nuaimi said the initiative reflects the importance of community involvement in supporting economic development, and is aligned with the goals of Vision 2030.
