Donald Trump turned on Congress after the Senate passed a largely symbolic resolution calling for an end to the war with Iran, dismissing the move as “badly timed and meaningless.”
Writing on Truth Social, Trump said Iran was “cornered and ready to fall” before the Senate opted to hold what he called a badly timed vote on war powers authority. “These Senators have made my job harder,” he wrote, “but I will get it done one way or another, because I always get the job done!”
The resolution is understood to carry no binding force on the administration’s conduct of military operations.
