Qatar Airways arrived at Arabian Travel Market 2026 in Dubai with a broad showcase spanning inflight connectivity, premium cabin design, AI-powered loyalty tools, and an unlikely outpost in Fortnite.
The airline signed Memoranda of Understanding with six tourism bodies on the sidelines of the show: Kenya Tourism Board, Jordan Tourism Board, Sri Lanka Tourism Promotions Bureau, Tourism Malaysia, Visit Newport Beach, and Visit Maldives. The agreements are aimed at channelling more leisure travellers through its Doha hub, Hamad International Airport.
A dedicated section of the Qatar Airways pavilion was given over to its Starlink programme. The airline describes itself as the first carrier in the MENA region to offer Starlink connectivity, and says it now runs up to 340 Starlink-enabled flights per day across more than 150 widebody aircraft. Since the service launched in October 2024, the airline says more than 25 million passengers have connected across over 96,000 flights.
Qsuite Next Gen was also on display. The product features 4K OLED entertainment screens and adjustable privacy controls, and can be configured as a private space for up to four passengers in Quad Suite mode or two in Companion Suite. A “Make My Bed” button triggers the airline’s turn-down service.
On the digital side, Qatar Airways showcased two AI-powered products. Q Search is a conversational tool embedded in the airline’s website that allows passengers to ask questions and receive plain-language answers about products and services. Infinite Awards, part of the Privilege Club loyalty programme, works as a rewards coach, recommending ways for members to collect Avios and suggesting destinations based on stated interests.
The airline also promoted QVerse Island, a branded destination it launched earlier this year inside the video game Fortnite. The island recreates Doha and Hamad International Airport, with missions guided by Sama, Qatar Airways’ digital cabin crew character.
Qatar Airways is exhibiting at Sheikh Saeed Hall 2, Pavilion ME1420, at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
