flydubai will resume flights to Aleppo International Airport on July 20, operating a daily non-stop service from Dubai International’s Terminal 3.

The route marks the airline’s first service to the Syrian city since operations were halted roughly 14 years ago, and adds Aleppo as its second Syrian destination after Damascus.

“We are pleased to resume our operations to Aleppo after nearly 14 years of halted operations. The introduction of our daily service to Aleppo marks an important milestone in our network expansion strategy. Our primary mandate has always been to support Dubai’s aviation hub by creating direct air links to previously underserved markets. By providing reliable, daily operations to Aleppo, we are not only catering to a strong existing demand for direct travel, but we are also fostering closer economic, cultural and familial ties between the UAE and Syria,” Ghaith Al Ghaith, Chief Executive Officer at flydubai said in a statement.

The airline points to demand from business travellers, the Syrian diaspora across the UAE and Gulf, and cargo as the primary drivers behind the route.

Direct flights eliminate the need for indirect routing, which the airline says considerably reduces travel times for passengers in both directions.

“Since resuming our flights to Damascus last summer, we have been encouraged by the strong demand for travel on this route. The resumption of our non-stop service to Aleppo builds on this momentum, providing our customers with greater choice and more convenient travel options between Dubai and Syria. The launch of our new daily service also comes at an ideal time to support increased travel demand during the peak summer period, and we look forward to welcoming passengers on board soon,” Hamad Obaidalla, Chief Commercial Officer at flydubai added.

flydubai began operating to Damascus on June 1, 2025, becoming the first UAE carrier to run a daily service between the two cities. That route has since been expanded to three daily flights.

The Aleppo service will operate under the flydubai and Emirates codeshare partnership, offering passengers through check-in, a single ticket, and access to both carriers’ combined networks.
