Emirates has announced its Ramadan services for passengers observing the holy month, with iftar boxes, prayer facilities, and themed content across its network.
The airline will distribute iftar boxes at boarding gates during iftar time. Each box contains water, laban, a banana, and dates.
Passengers on flights to select destinations will receive Ramadan meal boxes across all cabin classes. The boxes feature geometric designs from Islamic art and include dates, hummus, moutabel or muhammara with Arabic bread, chicken mossakan sandwich or herbed chicken sandwich, chocolate almonds, baklawa pistachio mamoul or baklawa pine seed cashew, and laban. These boxes are provided in addition to the standard hot meal service.

“When the sun sets, passengers will be officially informed of the iftar time by the captain,” Emirates states in its announcement.
The airline uses a calculation tool to determine imsak and iftar timings during flights, based on sunrise and sunset times at the aircraft’s location using longitude, latitude, and altitude data.
Prayer mats are available on all flights upon request from cabin crew.
Seven Emirates lounges at Dubai International Airport (DXB) will serve Arabic sweets, dates, and coffee during Ramadan. First and Business Class lounges will offer hot and cold Arabic mezze, lentil soup, Arabic mixed grill with tahina, lamb kabsa, chicken machboos with cucumber yoghurt sauce, and lamb shanks ouzi with hashweh rice and dakous.
Desserts include pistachio kunafa, kathayef cream, basbousa saffron, kitta cheesecake, cheese kunafa, walnut kathayef, homemade Arabic coffee and dates ice cream or baklawa ice cream, Arabic pastries, jallab, and laban.
Emirates lounges in Cairo and Jeddah will also serve Ramadan dishes. All lounges have prayer rooms and ablution facilities.
The ice entertainment system will feature religious content including Kheir Qodwa, Qalb Al Mo’men, Wa Yatoub Allah Alaykom, Al Huqooq Al Sharaeya, and Nafhat in Arabic. Urdu programming includes Ramadan Mah e Rehmat and Hoshyarian. The Holy Qur’an is available on ice.
Series and dramas include Ma Taraho Laysa Kama Yabdo, Febrayer Al Aswad, Al Mtwassf, and Hazza. The system offers more than 6,500 channels, with up to 450 channels of Arabic-language films and television, and 400 channels of Arabic music and podcasts.
Emirates has launched three Bukhoor scents for the season. Oud Rose features raspberry, rose, geranium, oud, patchouli, and vanilla. Dreamy Nights contains green citrus, sweet balsam, jasmine, amber, cedar, and vanilla. Sacred Ember includes saffron, lavender, bergamot, musk, tobacco, and cedar.
Each 70g pot costs USD 52 and is available in the Emirates Official Store. The packaging features a white and gold design with the airline’s Ghaf tree motif.
Passengers travelling to Jeddah and Medina for Umrah during Ramadan will receive Ramadan boxes on flights. The airline permits one bottle of Zamzam water up to 5 litres per person to be checked in at Dubai International Airport and airports in Saudi Arabia.
Emirates provides Ramadan awareness training for cabin crew and ground teams in Dubai and across its network. The training covers the cultural significance of the holy month and practices observed by Muslims to ensure service standards during the travel experience.
