Huawei has launched the WATCH Ultimate 2, a new smartwatch that supports underwater sonar-based communication for deep sea diving.
The device features a zirconium-based liquid metal case and will be available for pre-order in the UAE from November 19 at AED2,999 through Huawei’s website.
The WATCH Ultimate 2 comes in Blue and Black colourways. The watch features a zirconium-based liquid metal case paired with a dual-colour nanocrystal ceramic bezel and sapphire glass.
Water resistance and sonar communication
The nanocrystal ceramic bezel requires manufacturing processes and has been selected for its combination of colour, texture, and resistance to scratches and corrosion. The material is also noted as being on the skin.
The watch offers 20 ATM water resistance, supporting 150-meter diving-level performance. “As the first smartwatch to support 150-meter dives and audio capabilities such as calling and music playback, the HUAWEI WATCH Ultimate 2 takes diving performance and safety to new levels,” according to the product information.
The device includes an independent sonar communication system that functions at depth. The sonar-based communication feature permits users to send preset messages and emoticons to other watches within 30 metres. An underwater SOS feature supports a range of up to 60 metres and can facilitate assistance during emergencies.
Health monitoring features
The watch includes the TruSense system, supported by the X-TAP and rear super-sensing modules. The system provides 11 key health metrics through the Health Glance feature.
Fingertip SpO2 measurements update in real time and can be monitored continuously, whilst the watch also offers heart rate tracking and sleep monitoring.
Connectivity and safety features
The gap antenna system boosts signal strength outdoors. The Sunflower positioning system uses dual-band five-system positioning and advanced algorithms for navigation in challenging conditions.
The watch can make calls independently through an eSIM feature, with AI call noise cancellation for clarity in outdoor environments.
Additional safety features include Fall detection, Emergency SOS, and High altitude monitoring. The watch supports up to 11 days of use in Battery Saver mode and 4.5 days in Standard mode.
The watch includes HD golf course maps and outdoor features for outdoor enthusiasts and adventurers.
Buyers who pre-order the WATCH Ultimate 2 in the UAE will receive a three-month free subscription to HUAWEI Health+, two years of HUAWEI Care+, and six months of VIP Watch Face access.
The WATCH Ultimate 2 represents a shift in wearable design, combining outdoor adventure features with health monitoring and daily convenience. The device is set to be available in the UAE from 19 November 2025.
