Emirates has announced a strategic collaboration with OpenAI to advance artificial intelligence adoption across the airline’s operations.
The partnership will involve enterprise-wide deployment of ChatGPT Enterprise, supported by tailored AI literacy programmes, technical exploration, and executive strategic alignment to embed AI capabilities throughout the organisation.

Enterprise-wide ChatGPT deployment underway

The collaboration will centre on the deployment of ChatGPT Enterprise across Emirates, supported by comprehensive AI literacy programmes designed to build internal capability.
The partnership aims to identify opportunities for introducing practical use cases and developing an internal AI champion network.
Emirates and OpenAI will establish an AI Centre of Excellence as part of their work together. This initiative will identify key areas for enhancing and expanding AI capabilities across the organisation, covering critical skills, processes, and technology needed to power Emirates into the next era
Through the collaboration, Emirates will gain early access to cutting-edge AI research and emerging breakthroughs from OpenAI. The partnership also includes collaboration on government-led innovation projects and accelerators, positioning the airline at the forefront of AI development in the aviation sector.
Emirates and OpenAI will jointly run dedicated leadership sessions to explore practical applications, build sponsorship and advocacy for AI initiatives, and provide leaders with visibility into OpenAI’s product roadmap for long-term planning.
This strategic alignment ensures that leadership across the organisation understands both present and future AI capabilities.
OpenAI and Emirates technology teams will work together to optimise integration of OpenAI’s models, establish rapid prototyping and deployment best practices, and provide sandbox environments to accelerate experimentation across various use cases powered by generative AI.
