Mexico completed a flawless group stage at the FIFA World Cup 2026, beating Czechia 3-0 on Monday to top Group A and advance to the Round of 32 with three wins from three matches.
Mateo Chavez opened the scoring in the 55th minute. Julian Quinones doubled the lead six minutes later, and Alvaro Fidalgo wrapped up the result in stoppage time, converting in the 90+4 minute to make it three.
Czechia, who had managed just one point across the group stage, were eliminated.
