Bayern Munich and Arsenal secured their places in the UEFA Champions League semi-finals on Wednesday night, with the German club overcoming Real Madrid in a seven-goal encounter and the Gunners holding Sporting Lisbon to a draw at the Emirates Stadium.
Bayern Munich defeated Real Madrid 4-3 at the Allianz Arena to progress 6-4 on aggregate, following their 2-1 win in the first leg.

Alexander Pavlovic opened the scoring for the hosts in the 6th minute, before Arda Guler responded with two goals in the 1st and 29th minutes to level the tie. Harry Kane restored Bayern’s lead in the 38th minute, but Kylian Mbappe struck back for Real Madrid in the 42nd.
Luis Diaz put Bayern ahead in the 89th minute, and Michael Olise sealed the result deep into stoppage time. Bayern will face Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) in the semi-finals.
At the Emirates Stadium, Arsenal were held to a 0-0 draw by Sporting Lisbon but advanced 1-0 on aggregate courtesy of their first-leg result. The Gunners will meet Atletico Madrid in the next round.
