Dubai Basketball Club defeated Barcelona 83-78 at the Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai on Thursday night in the fifth round of the EuroLeague Basketball Championship.
The home side secured the victory in the closing minutes with support from the crowd at the Coca-Cola Arena.
The result marked the first meeting between the two clubs and Dubai’s debut in Europe’s premier basketball competition, the Emirates News Agency (WAM) reported.

Barcelona have won the EuroLeague title twice, in 2003 and 2010, and have reached the final on nine occasions.
Dubai’s players executed their game plan in the third and fourth quarters after the first half remained close.
