Nine Arab nationals have been referred to court by the Federal Public Prosecution after investigations revealed they formed an organised criminal gang that committed offences endangering state security, public order, and social peace.
The case began when a victim filed a report through the Public Prosecution’s digital platform ‘My Safe Society’, stating he was kidnapped, indecently assaulted, and filmed while his hands were bound, the Emirates News Agency (WAM) reported.
The Attorney-General directed the Public Prosecution to initiate an investigation, gather evidence, and task the Federal Judicial Enforcement Office with conducting inquiries to identify and apprehend the perpetrators and seize the tools used in the crimes.
