The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR) has confirmed that public sector employees will receive a holiday on Monday and Tuesday, December 1 and 2, to mark the 54th Eid Al Etihad.
The announcement means federal ministries and entities will close for the celebrations, with work resuming on Wednesday, 3 December 2025.
The holiday period will extend to four days when combined with the standard Friday and Saturday weekend in the UAE.

The authority issued a statement extending congratulations to the UAE’s leadership, government, citizens and residents on the occasion. FAHR wished the nation continued prosperity and progress.
Eid Al Etihad, also known as National Day, commemorates the unification of the emirates in 1971.
The holiday applies to employees of federal ministries and entities across the UAE.
