flydubai launched its four-times-weekly service to Nairobi on October 15, increasing connectivity between the UAE and Kenya.
The inaugural flight arrived at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and received a water cannon salute.
Officials from the Kenya Tourism Board, the Kenya Association of Travel Agents and the Kenya Airports Authority attended the arrival.

flydubai increased its Mombasa service to daily flights from October 1, bringing the carrier’s operations to Kenya to 11 flights per week.
The carrier now operates to 12 destinations in the market: Alexandria, Addis Ababa, Al Alamein (seasonal summer route), Asmara, Cairo, Dar es Salaam, Djibouti, Entebbe, Hargeisa, Mombasa, Nairobi and Zanzibar.
Nairobi serves as Kenya’s capital and functions as a gateway to wildlife and landscapes. The city features wildlife sanctuaries including Nairobi National Park and the Giraffe Centre. Nairobi operates as a business and financial hub in the East African region.
flydubai starts Nairobi service with dares from $395
Flights depart from Terminal 3 at Dubai International Airport to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.
Flight FZ 1581 departs Dubai at 13:30 and arrives in Nairobi at 17:55. The return flight FZ 1582 departs Nairobi at 18:55 and arrives in Dubai at 01:20.
Return Business Class fares from Dubai to Nairobi start from AED 4,500. Economy Class Lite fares start from AED 1,450. Return Business Class fares from Nairobi to Dubai start from USD 2,000. Economy Class Lite fares start from USD 440.
