flydubai will include meals and inflight entertainment in all Economy Class fares from November 2025, marking a change to the carrier’s business model.
The Dubai-based airline said the decision reflects its response to customer feedback and market conditions as it prepares to expand its network and fleet.

The carrier has invested in customer experience enhancements over the past several years. These include a Business Class check-in area at Dubai Airports and a Business Class Lounge at Terminal 2.

This announcement has come at the right time as we prepare to expand our network, continue to grow our fleet and welcome more passengers on board year after year. By including meals and inflight entertainment in every ticket, weโre modifying the Economy Class fare structure and ensuring passengers get more value, while remaining competitive,” Hamad Obaidalla, Chief Commercial Officer at flydubai added.

The inflight entertainment system offers more than 1,000 films from Hollywood, Bollywood, Arabic and international studios, along with TV shows from HBO Max, BBC Kids and Cartoon Network.
Passengers can access games, e-magazines, more than 700 music albums, podcast episodes, travel guides and flight information in multiple languages.
Onboard meals feature dishes inspired by destinations the airline serves, with regional menus covering African, European, Indian, Middle Eastern, Russian and Southeast Asian cuisines. Food and beverage offerings vary by route and flight duration.
flydubai has received nine aircraft in 2025, bringing its fleet to 95 Boeing 737s. Three more aircraft are expected by the end of the year. The carrier operates to more than 135 destinations.
The airline is conducting a retrofit programme on its Next-Generation Boeing 737-800 aircraft, introducing lie-flat Business Class seats and new Economy Class seats.
flydubai will begin receiving Boeing 787 Dreamliner aircraft from 2027, enabling the carrier to expand its network and long-haul operations while adding capacity on existing routes.
