Emirates will expand its Premium Economy service to 84 routes by July 1, deploying retrofitted Boeing 777 aircraft and its A350 fleet across Europe, North America, Asia, the Middle East, Africa and Australia.
The airline will introduce a second daily service to Copenhagen from June 1, a third daily service to Phuket from July 1, and a third daily service to Cape Town from July 1.
All three routes will operate with A350 aircraft featuring Premium Economy, Business Class and Economy Class cabins.
New daily services to Copenhagen, Phuket and Cape Town announced
Flight EK153 will depart Dubai at 14:50hrs and arrive in Copenhagen at 19:45hrs from June 1. The return flight, EK154, will depart Copenhagen at 21:35hrs and arrive in Dubai at 5:55hrs the following day.
The service will provide connections from Copenhagen to Bangkok, Bali, Manila, Tokyo Haneda, Phuket, Colombo, Male, Nairobi and Entebbe. Passengers from Taipei, Kuala Lumpur, Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney, Auckland, Delhi and Bangalore will have access to the Danish capital through Dubai.
From July 1, flight EK390 will depart Dubai at 22:40hrs and arrive in Phuket at 08:10hrs the following day. The return flight, EK391, will depart Phuket at 10:00hrs and arrive in Dubai at 13:05hrs.
The service will offer connections from Manchester, Amsterdam, London, Paris, Frankfurt, Kuwait and Bahrain to Phuket. Return passengers will have access to Madrid, Munich, Birmingham, Brussels, Dusseldorf, Hamburg, Edinburgh, Zurich and Amman.
Emirates retrofitted Boeing 777 and A350 route network grows to 84 destinations
Flight EK778 will depart Dubai at 10:25hrs and arrive in Cape Town at 18:05hrs from July 1. The return flight, EK779, will depart Cape Town at 20:00hrs and arrive in Dubai at 07:25hrs the following morning.
The route will serve connections to and from London, Dublin, Mumbai, Brussels, Australasia and Asia. Emirates’ double daily Cape Town service has recorded high load factors over the past year. Inbound demand from the GCC continues to grow, while outbound traffic to Europe and the US East Coast remains at high levels.
Emirates will operate retrofitted Boeing 777-300ER aircraft on the Barcelona route from February 1 on flight EK187/188. The linked Barcelona-Mexico City service, EK255/256, will operate with a retrofitted Boeing 777-200LR from 15 February.
The Rome service, EK099/100, will operate with A350 aircraft from March 29.
Two of the seven weekly services to Cochin on Thursday and Sunday will operate with retrofitted Boeing 777-200LR aircraft from 29 January on flight EK530/531.
The Karachi route will operate daily with retrofitted Boeing 777-200LR aircraft from March 1 on flight EK606/607.
Emirates will operate retrofitted Boeing 777-200LR aircraft on the Taipei route from March 15 until April 30 on flight EK386/387. From May 1, the service will transition to A350 aircraft.
Brisbane will receive retrofitted four-class Boeing 777-300ER aircraft on flight EK430/431 from March 29, joining the retrofitted A380 service introduced in 2024.
Middle East and Africa route upgrades scheduled
The Addis Ababa route will operate with retrofitted Boeing 777-200LR aircraft from March 1 on flight EK723/724.
The Basra Thursday service will transition to retrofitted four-class Boeing 777-300ER aircraft from January 29 on flight EK947/948.
Kuwait City will operate with retrofitted Boeing 777 aircraft from February 1 until April 30 on flight EK859/860. From May 1, the service will operate with A350 aircraft.
Tehran will receive retrofitted Boeing 777 aircraft in four-class configuration from March 29 on flight EK979/980.
