Dubai Taxi Company (DTC) and its strategic partner Bolt have launched ‘Bolt School’ in Dubai, a ride category for school commutes, available now through the Bolt app.
The service covers more than 90 per cent of schools across Dubai at launch, with schools selected on the basis of student population size. DTC and Bolt have indicated that expansion is planned over time.
Bolt School allows parents and guardians to schedule rides in advance through the Bolt app, with trips timed around school drop-offs and pick-ups. Rides will be fulfilled by drivers operating within Bolt’s Comfort category, described by the company as top-rated and highly reliable.
DTC, Bolt introduce dedicated school ride service with Safety PIN feature in Dubai
The service includes a Safety PIN verification feature built into the app. The feature is designed to confirm that students are matched with the correct vehicle before a trip begins.
To mark the launch, Bolt School customers will receive a 20 per cent discount on all scheduled rides within eligible school areas.
Dubai Taxi Company and Bolt described the service as a response to demand from parents and guardians for a transport option structured around school journeys. The companies said the launch supports “Dubai’s wider efforts to enhance smart, safe and efficient mobility.”
The service, they added, represents an expansion of Bolt’s role in daily transportation and reflects “its commitment to creating services that are tailored to how people move around the city.”
