Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has opened Al Ruwayyah Yard, a facility designed to provide parking for caravans, boats, trailers, and food vending vehicles across 335 dedicated spaces.
The project addresses parking challenges in the emirate by offering an alternative to unregulated parking in road right-of-way areas and residential neighbourhoods.
Abdulla Yousef Al Ali, CEO of Corporate Administrative Support Services Sector at RTA, said the initiative aligns with Dubai’s position as a destination for living, tourism, and business.

“This initiative represents a key pillar in curbing unregulated practices and maintaining smooth traffic flow. The yard will provide 335 dedicated parking spaces, equipped with state-of-the-art infrastructure, directly contributing to safeguarding the road right-of-way, enhancing traffic safety, and enhancing the city’s overall visual appeal,” he said in a statement.
The facility accommodates caravans, boats including Jet Skis, trailers, and food vending vehicles. The infrastructure aims to support the preservation of Dubai’s urban landscape and tourism appeal.
Al Ali explained that the project forms part of initiatives supporting urban development and the utilisation of RTA assets, including land plots across the emirate.
