Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority has revealed the operating schedule for its services during the New Year holiday on January 1, 2026.
All RTA Customer Happiness Centres will close on January 1, 2026. Smart Customer Happiness Areas at Al Barsha, Al Twar, Al Kifaf, and RTA headquarters will maintain 24-hour operations.
Service provider centres for vehicle testing will shut on the holiday and reopen on Friday, January 2, 2026, according to approved operating schedules.
Dubai Metro to run 24 hours on New Year’s Day 2026, RTA confirms
Dubai Metro’s Red and Green Lines will run from 05:00 AM to 11:59 PM on Wednesday, December 31, 2025. On Thursday, January 1, 2026, services will operate from midnight to 11:59 PM.
Dubai Tram will function from 06:00 AM to 11:59 PM on December 31, 2025. On January 1, 2026, the tram will run from midnight to 01:00 AM the following day.
Dubai Bus route E100 suspended until January 4, 2026, RTA announces
Bus schedules for the New Year holiday can be checked on the S’hail application.
Bus Route E100 will cease operations from Al Ghubaiba Bus Station from the afternoon of December 31.
The final trip will leave Abu Dhabi at 12:00 noon and Al Ghubaiba Bus Station at 14:00, with services suspended until January 4, 2026. Passengers can use Bus Route E101 from Ibn Battuta Bus Station to Abu Dhabi during this time.
Bus Route E102 will operate from Ibn Battuta Bus Station on December 31 from 14:00 until the end of the day.
Free public parking in Dubai on January 1, 2026 during New Year holiday
Operating hours for marine transport services during the holiday are available on the website.
Parking in public areas will be free on January 1, 2026, excluding multi-storey parking facilities and Al Khail Gate N-365. Fees will resume on Friday, January 2, 2026.
