On-street parking in Jumeirah Village Circle (JVC) will become a paid zone on March 16, 2026, under a scheme operated by PARKONIC. The change affects all on-street spaces within the community and will be enforced seven days a week, including weekends and public holidays.
The system is ticketless. A vehicle’s licence plate will serve as its digital parking record, with no physical tickets or machines involved. Cash payments and QR code payments will not be accepted at this location.
Charges are applied per hour or part thereof across two time bands:
- AED 4 per hour or part thereof – 08:00 to 17:00
- AED 6 per hour or part thereof – 17:00 to 00:00
- Free of charge – 00:00 to 08:00
Jumeirah Village Circle on-street parking goes live as paid zone on March 16
There is no charge during overnight hours. The scheme applies “Monday to Saturday, including public holidays,” according to the terms and conditions published by PARKONIC, though the activation notice states that fees apply seven days a week.
Drivers have two options for payment. The first is SMS parking, which requires drivers to follow instructions displayed on on-site signage to initiate a parking session manually. The second is automatic deduction via a Salik account.
Under the scheme, the default payment method is the vehicle’s Salik account. PARKONIC states that “if SMS payment is not initiated, the parking fee will be automatically deducted from the vehicle’s Salik account upon exit, subject to Salik’s Terms & Conditions.”
Vehicles without a Salik account, or those with insufficient Salik balance, must complete payment via the SMS parking option. Applicable SMS charges may apply.
For users who park in JVC on a basis, PARKONIC offers membership packages at the following rates:
- Monthly membership: AED 900 (standard) / AED 500 (EV)
- Quarterly membership: AED 2,500 (standard) / AED 1,350 (EV)
Memberships are available exclusively through the PARKONIC+ app. No alternative purchase route has been announced.
PARKONIC’s terms and conditions warn that “failure to pay applicable parking fees may result in enforcement actions, including fines, blacklisting, or legal action by the relevant authority.”
The scheme is governed by the laws of Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the Dubai courts. PARKONIC reserves the right to amend its terms and conditions or adjust parking fees at any time, with or without prior notice.
