Switzerland are through to the round of 16 at the 2026 FIFA World Cup after beating Algeria 2-0 in Vancouver on Saturday, with Breel Embolo opening the scoring in the 10th minute and Dan Ndoye adding a second just after half-time.
The match was played at BC Place as part of the tournament’s round of 32 stage, with the competition hosted across the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
Switzerland will next face the winner of Sunday’s round of 32 tie between Colombia and Ghana.
