Dubai’s airports have partially restored operations as of March 7, with select flights now running out of Dubai International Airport (DXB) and Al Maktoum International Airport (DWC).
Passengers are strongly advised not to head to the airport unless they have received direct confirmation from their airline that their flight is proceeding, as schedules remain subject to change.
Gulf Air has confirmed that its flights continue to be suspended following the ongoing closure of Bahrain’s airspace.
Services will recommence once the Bahrain Civil Aviation Affairs authority clears the airspace for safe operations.
The airline’s next update is scheduled for 11:00 BHT (08:00 UTC) on March 8. Passengers can stay informed via the Gulf Air website or mobile app.
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian announced Saturday that the country’s temporary leadership council had approved a halt to strikes against neighbouring states, on the condition that those countries do not launch attacks against Iran, Reuters reported.
The announcement came as Iran continued its broader campaign of regional strikes in retaliation for ongoing US-Israeli military action against the Islamic Republic.
Emirates has announced the resumption of its flight operations, with passengers holding confirmed bookings for afternoon departures cleared to make their way to the airport. This also applies to transit customers, provided their connecting flights are operational.
Travellers can check the latest flight schedules and make new bookings on the Emirates website. The airline noted it will continue to monitor the evolving situation and adjust its operational schedule accordingly, reiterating that passenger and crew safety remains its foremost priority.
Emirates has announced the suspension of all flights to and from Dubai until further notice, urging passengers not to proceed to the airport.

Customers booked to travel between February 28 and March 31 have two options: they may rebook on an alternative flight to their destination for travel on or before April 30, or request a full refund.

Passengers are encouraged to verify that their contact details are up to date via the Emirates manage booking portal to ensure they receive timely updates. Residents are advised that they may resume their normal daily activities while remaining cautious, taking necessary precautions, and continuing to follow official instructions.
The UAE Ministry of Defence has confirmed that air defence systems are actively engaging incoming missile and drone threats originating from Iran.
The Ministry clarified that the sounds being heard across various parts of the country are a direct result of interception operations targeting these projectiles.
The public has been urged to comply with all safety and security instructions issued by the relevant authorities.

UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan visited a number of people injured in the recent Iranian attacks who are currently hospitalised, offering his wishes for their swift recovery and safe return to their families.
During the visit, His Highness spoke warmly with the injured and their families, reassuring those affected – who include nationals from the UAE, Sudan, Iran, Pakistan and India – that they are considered family in the UAE, and reiterating that the safety of all residents is a paramount concern.
His Highness commended the response of UAE society, noting that the solidarity, cooperation and adherence to official safety guidance displayed by the community had made a meaningful contribution to national efforts during these challenging circumstances. He also praised the dedication of medical staff for their continued high-quality care.
The injured and their families expressed gratitude for the presidential visit, lauding the leadership’s attention to the wellbeing of all UAE residents and offering prayers for the country’s continued safety and stability. Several of those injured have already been discharged following a full recovery.

Qatar’s Ministry of Defence has revealed that the country endured multiple waves of Iranian drone attacks involving 10 drones, launched between dawn Friday and early Saturday evening.
The armed forces successfully intercepted nine of the drones, while one came down in an uninhabited area with no casualties reported.
The Ministry affirmed that Qatar’s armed forces have the full capability and means to defend the country’s sovereignty and territory, and to respond decisively to any external aggression.
Kuwait announced Friday that its armed forces shot down 12 drones and 14 missiles launched from Iran.
Army spokesperson Colonel Saud Al-Atwan, quoted by the Kuwait News Agency, said two of the missiles landed outside the designated threat zone, while the drones targeted northern and central Kuwait and the missiles were directed at southern areas, resulting in only material damage.
Al-Atwan clarified that explosions heard across various parts of the country were a result of the interception operations rather than direct strikes.
Bahrain’s Defence Force General Command has reported that its air defence systems are actively intercepting successive waves of Iranian strikes, with a total of 84 missiles and 147 drones targeting the kingdom destroyed since the attacks began.
In a statement carried by the Bahrain News Agency, the General Command condemned the use of ballistic missiles and drones against civilian areas and private property as a clear violation of international humanitarian law and the UN Charter, warning that the indiscriminate nature of these attacks poses a direct threat to peace and security across the region.
Qatar’s Civil Aviation Authority has announced a partial restoration of air navigation services, operating through designated contingency routes with restricted capacity, in close coordination with the Qatari Armed Forces and relevant state authorities.
The current phase covers a limited number of passenger evacuation flights alongside cargo operations, aimed at maintaining essential air services in light of the prevailing regional situation.
Kurdistan Region’s Counter-Terrorism Service announced Friday that coalition forces intercepted four drones over Erbil, the regional capital.
Debris from one of the drones came down near a hotel in the city, though no injuries or property damage were reported.
Separately, Iraqi authorities earlier confirmed that two additional drones were brought down near a vital facility in the southern city of Basra, though officials did not disclose the nature of the site in question.

The Union flagged the dangers of misinformation and fabricated content, describing them as instruments used by hostile actors to sow division, disturb social harmony, and destabilise communities.
In a Friday statement, the Union noted that the rapid pace of information flow in the digital age places a weighty ethical and civic responsibility on everyone who consumes and shares content.
It warned against the influence of coordinated fake accounts and so-called “electronic committees” that spread false narratives to serve narrow agendas and erode national unity.
The Union stressed the importance of relying on credible official sources and government institutions, and cautioned that spreading false information – however casually – carries real national and moral consequences.
Arab Media Union President Dr. Ahmed Noor singled out the UAE for praise, highlighting its use of advanced media practices and technology to protect its citizens and residents from internal and external threats, describing the country’s approach as a model for the region and the world.
