Kuwait says border posts, oil platform hit in drone attack

Ministry of Defense spokesman Major General Saud Abdulaziz Al-Otaibi said three northern land border centers came under a criminal, aggressive attack, causing material damage.

He added that an offshore drilling platform belonging to Kuwait Oil Company in Kuwaiti waters was also hit by a hostile drone, causing material damage and injuring one worker, who is receiving medical care.

He said authorities have begun taking necessary measures to address the incident in coordination with relevant bodies, and affirmed that the armed forces remain ready and are taking all necessary precautions to protect the country’s security and territory.

UAE condemns Iranian attacks on Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Jordan, Oman

The UAE strongly condemned Iran’s renewed missile and drone attacks on Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Jordan and Oman.

The Foreign Ministry said the attacks are a flagrant violation of the sovereignty of these brotherly nations and a threat to their security and stability.

It reaffirmed the UAE’s full solidarity with all five countries and its support for any measures they take to protect their security and stability.

Oman summons Iranian ambassador over drone strikes

Oman summoned Iran’s ambassador, Mousa Farhang, to deliver a formal protest note after drone attacks hit sites in Musandam and Al Wusta governorates.

Foreign Ministry Undersecretary Sheikh Khalid bin Hashil Al Musalhi handed over the note during a meeting in Muscat, expressing Oman’s deep dismay at the strikes and stressing the need to respect state sovereignty, good neighborliness, non-interference in internal affairs, and the norms and principles that govern relations between the two neighboring countries and their peoples.

Bahrain says it intercepted Iranian aerial attacks

Bahrain’s Defence Force said its air defence systems successfully intercepted and destroyed several Iranian aerial attacks today.

It said Iran continues a systematic hostile pattern of unlawful missile and drone strikes targeting civilians in Bahrain, and stressed that deliberately targeting civilians and private property with such weapons is a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law.

India condemns GFS Galaxy attack, one national still missing

The Embassy of India in Oman condemned the attack on the commercial vessel GFS Galaxy off Oman’s coast. Of 11 Indian nationals aboard, 10 have been rescued while one remains missing.

The embassy said it is closely tracking the situation and working with Omani authorities on the search and rescue effort, and thanked Oman for its support. It also voiced deep concern over the continuing attacks on commercial shipping in the region, renewing calls for an immediate de-escalation, a diplomatic resolution to ongoing negotiations, and an end to attacks on shipping and civilian infrastructure, stressing that free and unimpeded navigation through the region’s waterways must be restored under international law.

Iranian parliament speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf said the time of one-sided deals has ended, warning that Iran had told the US to keep its word or face consequences, and that reality is now catching up.

CENTCOM launches third round of strikes on Iran this week

At 7:15 p.m. ET, US Central Command began a third round of strikes on Iran after the IRGC attacked the Cyprus-flagged container ship MV GFS Galaxy in the Strait of Hormuz.

A crew member is missing, and the vessel can’t continue its voyage due to an onboard fire and major engine-room damage. CENTCOM said Iran had again failed to uphold the Memorandum of Understanding despite being given another chance after previous attacks on commercial vessels. It said the US is imposing a heavy cost to keep degrading Iran’s ability to freely attack civilian mariners and ships in the strait, with the strikes ordered by the Commander in Chief.

Oman condemns drone strikes on Musandam sites

A security source said drone strikes hit sites in Oman’s Musandam Governorate. Oman’s government condemned the attack and said it is taking all necessary measures to protect the country’s security and the safety of its people.

US and Iran trade fresh strikes as Tehran shuts Strait of Hormuz

The US carried out a new round of airstrikes on Iran after Iranian forces damaged a commercial vessel transiting the Strait of Hormuz. Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) responded by declaring the strait closed indefinitely and threatening harsh retaliation for what it called American “aggression.”

Within hours, the IRGC said it had struck a US-linked air base in Jordan, while the UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, and Bahrain all reported intercepting Iranian missiles or drones. The exchange follows a string of tanker attacks earlier in the week that had already triggered US-Iran strikes.

US Central Command said the latest wave – its third this week – came after the IRGC “blatantly attacked” a Cyprus-flagged ship, the MV GFS Galaxy, leaving it disabled with major engine-room damage and one crew member missing. The US said it hit roughly 140 Iranian military sites, including missile and drone facilities, communications infrastructure, and coastal radar posts. Britain’s maritime monitoring agency said the ship’s crew had to abandon it for a lifeboat.

CENTCOM said Iran had again failed to honor a prior agreement despite being given another chance, and that it was making Iran “pay a heavy cost.” Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth put it more bluntly online: Iran had made “a poor choice” and would now face the consequences.

Iran, for its part, said its opening retaliatory move – striking Jordan’s Prince Hassan Air Base – had destroyed the base’s command center and drone hangars. Earlier, state media said Iran had shut the strait after firing on a ship that ignored orders to change course, warning that any US response would be met with severe force and that new regional bases would become targets.

Iran’s parliament speaker and lead US negotiator, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, declared the “era of one-sided deals” finished, adding a pointed warning: keep commitments or face the fallout.
