The Netherlands advanced to the last 32 of the 2026 FIFA World Cup after defeating Tunisia 3-1 in Kansas City in the final round of Group 6 matches.
The Dutch were in front inside three minutes when Tunisia’s Elias Skhiri put through his own net. Brian Brobbey extended the lead in the seventh minute, and although Hazem Mastouri pulled one back for Tunisia in the 54th minute, Jan Paul van Hecke restored the two-goal cushion in the 62nd to settle the contest.
The win takes the Netherlands to seven points, finishing top of Group 6. They will face Morocco, runners-up in Group 3, in the round of 32 in Monterrey, Mexico.
Tunisia are eliminated, finishing fourth in the group without a point from their three matches.
