Fujairah International Airport received 15 diverted flights operated by several airlines after adverse weather conditions affected some airports in the UAE and the wider region.
The weather disruption prompted the rerouting of flights to Fujairah International Airport as an alternative destination.
Airport teams handled the flights by activating approved emergency plans and coordinating with the relevant authorities, airlines and ground service providers to maintain operations and ensure the safety of passengers and flight crews.

The airport said its teams implemented established procedures to manage the diverted services.
Coordination took place with authorities, airlines and ground handling companies to facilitate aircraft movements and passenger processing.
The airport said the measures were taken to support continuity across the UAE’s civil aviation network during the weather disruption.
Fujairah strengthens support for UAE civil aviation network
The development underlines the position of Fujairah International Airport within the UAE’s aviation framework. The airport said it is equipped with infrastructure and national personnel to manage air operations and support the civil aviation system.
Captain Esmaeil M. Al Boloushi, General Manager of Fujairah International Airport, said that the airport’s success in receiving and managing diverted flights reflects its high level of operational readiness and the professionalism of its teams in ensuring safety and efficiency under all circumstances, according to a report by the Emirates News Agency (WAM).
He stressed the airport’s continued commitment to supporting the national aviation system in line with the highest international standards.
