Dubai Finance has announced the activation of global digital wallets for payment of government service fees across all Government of Dubai entities.

The Department confirmed that government fees can now be paid using international digital wallets at government service centres, with several already accepted through the Dubai smart payment gateway DubaiPay and the DubaiNow app.

The activation of all wallets in this group is expected to be completed by the end of the year.

“The activation of global and regional digital wallets across Dubaiโ€™s government payment ecosystem is a major milestone and a qualitative leap towards realising our vision of a cashless government. It reflects our commitment to enhancing transparency and innovation in the delivery of government services, in line with global best practices,” Abdulrahman Saleh Al Saleh, Director General of DOF said in a statement.

Hamad Obaid al Mansoori, Director General of Digital Dubai, praised this initiative and its impact, noting that it “reflects Dubai’s openness to all solutions that facilitate people’s lives and strengthen the foundations of the digital economy, ultimately enhancing the quality of life for everyone living in the emirate.”
