Among the features of the development is a beach set aside for women only, which will permit night swimming. The beach will be enclosed by a surrounding fence to ensure privacy and has been designed in line with international standards for safety and privacy.

The project will also include health and service facilities, food and beverage outlets along the beachfront, walking, jogging and cycling tracks, children’s play areas, fitness zones and beach activity spaces. Shaded seating areas will allow use of the site from day into night. The development will also feature a shaded skate park alongside spaces for events and seasonal activities.

As part of measures to address the effects of climate change, the project includes works to raise beach levels and reinforce coastal protection.

More than 500,000 cubic metres of beach sand have been used, based on environmental studies, to improve shoreline stability and support the site’s long-term sustainability.

The project supports the objectives of the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan and the Public Beaches Master Plan, which target a 400% increase in the total length of public beaches across the emirate.

The development forms part of Dubai Municipality‘s efforts to advance public beach infrastructure and strengthen the city’s standing as a destination for beach tourism.
