Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services is presenting SANAD, a new off-road multi-mission emergency vehicle, at EMS World Expo 2026 in Orlando this week.
The expo runs September 30 to October 2 at the Orange County Convention Center, where SANAD will be on daily display at the stand of FERNO, one of the vehicle’s development partners.
SANAD is designed to operate where conventional ambulances cannot. The platform can navigate high-incline mountains, deserts, and disaster zones, while its medical cabin is built to deliver critical care once on-scene.
With capacity for up to 14 people, including two patients on stretchers, the vehicle integrates smart monitoring, asset management, and tracking systems, giving emergency teams a self-sufficient medical post rather than a transport unit alone.
Seven specialist manufacturers contributed to the build. TORSUS supplied the base vehicle, FERNO provided patient-handling and equipment-mounting systems, Bristol handled fabrication, Whelen supplied the lighting system, Acetech the control system, UXE contributed patient analytics and situational awareness, and Frestems delivered the patient-loading system. The finished platform runs on a permanent 4×4 chassis with electronically adjustable air suspension and a military-grade loading system.
Dubai Ambulance says the project reflects the “Dubai-it” philosophy, an initiative introduced in 2026 by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum calling on Dubai institutions to deliver ambitious outcomes at speed. The agency took SANAD from concept to a road-ready vehicle within what it describes as a record timeline.

EMS World Expo is the largest event dedicated to emergency medical services globally, drawing professionals and agency leadership from more than 50 countries.
Dubai Ambulance says its goal in presenting SANAD there is to open conversations with EMS agencies and manufacturers ahead of future deployments.
