Beyoncé has joined the ranks of billionaire entertainers, becoming the fifth musician to achieve this status alongside Jay-Z, Taylor Swift, Bruce Springsteen and Rihanna, according to a report by Forbes.
The 44-year-old performer reached the milestone following the success of her Cowboy Carter Tour in 2025, which grossed more than $400 million in ticket sales and $50 million in merchandise, according to Forbes estimates.
The tour became the highest-grossing concert tour of 2025.
How Beyoncé earned her billionaire status by controlling her music and tour production
Beyoncé founded Parkwood Entertainment in 2010, bringing control of her career in-house. The company manages her career and produces all of her music, documentaries and concerts, fronting most production costs to capture more of the revenue.
Her business ventures include hair care brand Cécred, whiskey label SirDavis, and clothing line Ivy Park, which was discontinued in 2024. However, most of her wealth comes from her music catalog and touring income.
Forbes estimated Beyoncé earned $148 million in 2025 before taxes, making her the third-highest paid musician in the world. Her Cowboy Carter Tour featured 350 crew members, 100 semi-trucks of equipment, and eight 747 cargo planes.
The tour used a mini-residency model, setting up in nine stadiums across America and Europe for 32 shows. The three-hour performances included a flying car, robotic arms, a mechanical bull, and appearances by Jay-Z, her children, and former Destiny’s Child bandmates.
Beyoncé reaches billionaire status after Renaissance, Cowboy Carter tour success
The Renaissance World Tour in 2023 grossed nearly $600 million. Beyoncé was the first female artist to headline an all-stadium tour in 2016.
She released country album Cowboy Carter in 2024, which led to a Christmas NFL halftime performance for Netflix. Forbes estimates she received $50 million for the performance, including production costs. She also appeared in Levi’s commercials, earning an estimated $10 million.
Despite the success of songs like Texas Hold ‘Em, album-equivalent sales of Beyoncé’s discography for 2025 were less than half of artists like Sabrina Carpenter, Bad Bunny or The Weeknd, according to Luminate.
Music industry insiders suggest touring accounts for 75 per cent to 90 per cent of an artist’s income. Beyoncé produced a concert film of the Renaissance World Tour and distributed it through AMC theaters, earning nearly half of the $44 million box office gross.
Beyoncé has stated that Renaissance and Cowboy Carter are the first two parts of a trilogy of albums from different genres.
Of the 22 billionaire entertainers Forbes has identified, nearly half were added in the last three years.
