Algeria defeated the Netherlands 1–0 in a friendly at De Kuip stadium on Wednesday, with the only goal arriving four minutes from time through Anis Hadj Moussa, who curled the ball into the bottom-right corner past goalkeeper Bart Verbruggen.
The result gave Algeria a confidence boost heading into the World Cup, where they will face Argentina, Austria, and one other side in Group 10. The Netherlands are placed in Group 6 alongside Japan, Sweden, and Tunisia.
Algeria have one more friendly scheduled, against Bolivia, before the tournament kicks off across the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
