Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in Al Ain Region, has met with Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak, Chairman of the Department of Culture and Tourism Abu Dhabi, to review the emirate’s development roadmap for the area.
The session covered plans to broaden Al Ain’s tourism offer across nature, entertainment, wellness and adventure, alongside efforts to strengthen the hospitality sector and improve the experience for both residents and visitors throughout the year.
Heritage preservation featured prominently. The two sides discussed ways to revitalise Al Ain’s cultural and historical sites while protecting their identity and ensuring they continue to serve the wider community.
Private-sector investment was also on the agenda, with both parties exploring how to attract high-quality capital into the tourism sector as part of a broader push to diversify economic activity in the region.
Sheikh Hazza said development of Al Ain’s cultural and tourism sectors must proceed in line with the directives of President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, with the aim of raising quality of life, supporting economic activity and creating opportunities for residents, visitors and investors alike.
He also stressed that any plans must preserve the region’s character, safeguard its cultural identity and natural environment, and ensure its heritage endures for future generations.
