Cinemacity has launched its newest venue at Marina Mall, Abu Dhabi, bringing together film, theatre, dining, music and social experiences under one roof.
Named Cinemacity Starlight, the space is positioned as an entertainment lounge rather than a traditional cinema, with the aim of drawing guests who wish to gather, connect and engage with culture across the venue.
The location sits within Marina Mall, one of Abu Dhabi’s waterfront destinations, and marks the sixth branch in Cinemacity’s portfolio across the UAE.

The venue houses nine screens, with its centrepiece being the Starlight Theatre, which holds up to 500 guests. The space has been conceived as a cultural and entertainment house, with the intention of encouraging visitors to arrive early, remain longer and move through an environment where film sits alongside live entertainment, hospitality and conversation.
Central to the venue is a members’ club, giving guests access to a lounge built around connection and conversation. Members receive priority access, reserved seating, concierge-style service and entry to a dedicated social lounge. The club is designed to serve guests whether they are attending a screening or simply meeting with friends and colleagues.
Food and beverage forms a significant part of the Cinemacity Starlight experience. Graffiti Forno e Focacceria serves artisanal Italian food, while cinema favourites have been reimagined with a premium touch. An upscale licensed dining concept offers contemporary cuisine, fine wines and craft cocktails. Select auditoriums also provide in-seat dining, combining restaurant-style hospitality with the cinema experience.
Beyond film, Cinemacity Starlight will host cultural programming throughout the year. This includes screenings, performances, private events and immersive experiences. The venue intends to stage theatre-inspired presentations, music-driven events, community gatherings and creative activations, with the goal of positioning itself as a place where entertainment, culture and hospitality come together.
Karim Atassi, Brand Director at Cinemacity, said: “With Cinemacity Starlight, we wanted to rethink what a cinema space could be today. It is not only about watching films, but about creating an environment where people come to experience something immersive. Whether it is theatre, dining, music or film, the idea is to offer a space where guests can gather, connect and spend time together in a setting designed around culture, conversation and entertainment.”
Cinemacity currently operates five branches across the UAE, with Starlight becoming the sixth addition to its portfolio of entertainment destinations.
