Italian fashion house Ermanno Scervino unveiled its Spring/Summer 2026 collection during Milan Fashion Week, in a standout show celebrating the beauty of the modern woman who “lives in the light and moves through transparency.”
The collection tells the story of women with multiple identities — from postcard-inspired tourists of Anacapri, to urban explorers, and modern-day nomads.
Light and Shadow Atmosphere
The Ermanno Scervino collection was defined by contrasts of light and shadow: “full light and sharp darkness, where empty spaces had as much meaning as filled ones, while surfaces embraced transparency.” Lace and crochet flowed freely, while geometric details appeared through cut-outs, braided designs, and crystals arranged in architectural patterns.
Innovative Craft Techniques
The house employed advanced craftsmanship techniques to bring this artistic vision to life. Using the ancient “iris petal layering” method, chiffon retained its airy transparency while gaining unexpected structure, even suitable for tailoring blazers. “It’s still chiffon, but something entirely new,” the brand noted.
Lightweight, supple leather was also folded into irregular shapes while maintaining its original shine. This balance between traditional materials and innovative techniques gave the collection its distinctive blend of heritage and modernity.
A Mediterranean Palette
The colour palette traced a true Mediterranean map: “deep blue, warm sand, chalky white, fading sky shades under the sun, and citrus-bright orange.” Carefully curated tones created a visual harmony that reflected the natural beauty of Mediterranean landscapes.
Multi-Textured Accessories
Accessories reflected the same balance of craftsmanship and experimentation that defined the entire collection. Bags combined woven straw, bamboo cane, crochet, raffia, suede and smooth leather. Some were decorated with intricate embroidery evoking a vintage feel, while others took cues from explorer satchels or the softness of pillows in Mediterranean villas.
Shoes Balancing Comfort and Elegance
The footwear lineup included “lace-sole sandals, cork platform clogs, fringed moccasins, and glossy or embroidered leather sandals” — shoes designed to soften formality while adding refinement to the look.
