The teaser trailer for “The Devil Wears Prada 2” was released on Wednesday, showing Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway reprising their roles from the 2006 film.
In the footage, Streep appears as Miranda Priestly, walking through the offices of Runway magazine in red heels. Hathaway joins her as Andy Sachs before they enter an elevator together.
“Took you long enough,” Miranda says to Andy, as Andy smirks behind a pair of black sunglasses.

Madonna’s 1990 song “Vogue” provides the soundtrack to the teaser trailer, which runs for less than one minute. The magazine Runway has been believed to be based on Vogue, while the Miranda character is believed to be based on Anna Wintour, who served as the magazine’s top editor.
The sequel to the 2006 film is scheduled for release in theatres on May 1, 2026.
Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci will return alongside Streep and Hathaway. Tracie Thoms, who played Andy’s friend, and Tibor Feldman, who played magazine executive Irv Ravitz, will also reprise their roles. Kenneth Branagh and several others have joined the cast.
The first film was based on the 2003 novel of the same name by Lauren Weisberger, who had previously worked as a personal assistant to Wintour at Vogue. The story follows a New Yorker, played by Hathaway, who finds a job at a fashion magazine under the direction of an editor.
