Multi-GRAMMY award winner Shakira will perform on the Main Stage at the Jeddah Corniche Circuit on April 19, following the conclusion of the FORMULA 1 STC SAUDI ARABIAN GRAND PRIX.
The Saudi Motorsport Company (SMC) confirmed that the Colombian artist will appear after the race on the final day of the Grand Prix weekend, which takes place from April 17 to 19.
Formula 1 will return to Jeddah for the annual night race at the Jeddah Corniche Circuit, which runs along the Red Sea coastline. The event has been held on the street circuit since 2021.
Shakira confirmed for Saudi Arabian Grand Prix 2026 performance
The race weekend will combine Formula 1 competition with live music performances across three days, with further acts expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
Billboard confirmed last week that Shakira’s Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour is the highest-grossing Hispanic tour on record. The tour has generated $421.6 million in revenue from 82 stadium shows across the United States and Latin America, with total attendance exceeding 3.3 million.
The figure surpasses the previous record of $409.5 million set by the Luis Miguel Tour between 2023 and 2024.
In recent months, Shakira received Billboard’s Global Touring Icon Award. Billboard also published coverage of the tour and released a highlights video.
The tour was nominated for Pollstar’s Latin Tour of the Year Award. Ticket sales included 12 performances at Mexico City’s Estadio GNP Seguros, marking the highest number of shows by a single tour at the venue.
Zootopia 2 soundtrack reaches streaming milestone
Each show sold 65,000 tickets, resulting in 780,000 tickets sold in total. A 13th and final show has been scheduled for 27 February due to demand.
Shakira recently released the song “Zoo” as the lead track for Zootopia 2. The film has grossed more than $1.7 billion worldwide, making it Disney’s highest-grossing animated release.
The track, written by Ed Sheeran, Blake Slatkin and Shakira, has recorded more than 500 million streams across platforms. Additional music releases are planned ahead of 2026.
The confirmation of Shakira’s performance forms part of the entertainment programme for the FORMULA 1 STC SAUDI ARABIAN GRAND PRIX 2026, with further performers set to be announced.
Fans attending the event will have access to racing sessions and live music across the three-day schedule.
New teams and regulations set for Formula 1 2026
The 2026 Formula 1 season will introduce new car regulations aimed at closer racing. Cadillac will join the grid as an 11th team, while Audi will enter the championship for the first time.
Jeddah will host a reigning World Champion for the first time since 2021, with McLaren driver Lando Norris defending his title against Max Verstappen and teammate Oscar Piastri.
F1 Academy will also return, continuing its role in developing female drivers.
