Bryan Adams will perform in Abu Dhabi on February 11, one day before the anniversary of his debut album release in February 1980.
The Department of Culture and Tourism announced on February 2 that the musician will take to the stage at Saadiyat Nights, the emirate’s outdoor concert series. Adams is expected to play a selection of tracks from his 1980 self-titled album during the performance.
Adams has released albums over 45 years and topped charts in more than 40 countries. His catalogue includes tracks from the early 1980s such as Summer of ’69, Run to You and Heaven.

His single (Everything I Do) I Do It for You spent 16 weeks at number one on the UK Singles Chart. Other releases include Please Forgive Me and All For Love, a collaboration that reached number one status in multiple territories.
The musician has received a Grammy Award and an American Music Award during his career. He has been nominated for three Academy Awards and five Golden Globe Awards.
His recordings have sold tens of millions of copies across Europe, North America, Asia and Australia. The Canadian government appointed him a Companion of the Order of Canada.
Adams continues to tour while preparing material for release later this year. The Saadiyat Nights appearance marks a return to the UAE market.
“Still driven by the same instinct for melody and connection that launched his career in 1980, Adams continues to tour internationally while preparing new material for release later this year,” organisers said in a statement.
