RAK Properties has announced the launch of The Strand, a mixed-use residential destination in Ras Al Khaimah.
The project is located within the Marjan Beach masterplan and forms part of the developer’s long-term plan to extend its footprint on the Ras Al Khaimah mainland. The Strand is designed as a master-planned community focused on well-being, opportunity and livability.
The development spans 187,000 square metres of land and will deliver 540,000 square metres of gross floor area (GFA). This will include residential units, retail hubs, green spaces, public realm areas and community-focused districts. The first phase of residential units is expected to be announced soon.
RAK Properties unveils 540,000 sqm mixed-use project The Strand near Wynn Resort, Marjan Island
The Strand is situated in the Marjan Beach District, with access to a large public park and bridge connectivity to the upcoming Wynn Resort. It is also located close to a range of beach clubs and hotels and near Marjan Island.
According to RAK Properties, the development is intended to meet demand for homes in Ras Al Khaimah’s property market and support the Emirate’s growth under RAK Vision 2030.
“The launch of The Strand is a pivotal moment for RAK Properties and a powerful testament to our commitment to not only expand our development pipeline but to create truly purposeful, integrated, and livable communities. Right in the heart of the Marjan Beach District, and with excellent proximity to the Wynn Resort, a large public park, beach clubs and nearby hotels, we are designing a community built for the future. It’s where music, food and culture lovers can live, work and connect – a place that fosters creativity, opportunity and well-being while encouraging a genuine sense of belonging,” Sameh Muhtadi, CEO of RAK Properties said in a statement.
“The Strand delivers on our strategic commitment to extend our milestone projects by introducing new, large-scale masterplans that will shape the future of Ras Al Khaimah. This development directly supports the Emirate’s continued emergence as a premier destination for residents and investors, and we are confident that it will set a bold new benchmark for integrated community living,” Muhtadi added.
Three districts planned: Urban, Creative and Garden
The Strand will be structured around three interconnected districts: Urban, Creative and Garden.
The Urban District will include co-working zones, retail and dining outlets and pedestrian-focused streets.
The Creative District will include studios, workshops and cultural halls aimed at artists, innovators and entrepreneurs.
The Garden District will provide parks, playgrounds and outdoor exercise routes, alongside cafés and spaces for relaxation.
The apartments are planned with efficient layouts, high-quality finishes and natural light. The development will also include parks, gardens, walking trails and pedestrian-friendly streets offering access to retail and dining facilities.
The Strand to add 540,000 sqm GFA to Ras Al Khaimah real estate market
The Strand marks a step in RAK Properties’ plan to expand its landbank beyond its Mina waterfront community. The developer said the project will support demand for homes in the UAE’s northernmost Emirate and build on its 20-year track record of delivery.
The company said the project is positioned to benefit from its location near the beach and the upcoming Wynn Resort, with potential for rental yields and market value growth.
RAK Properties described The Strand as a long-term investment in Ras Al Khaimah, offering opportunities for investors and first-time buyers.
