MERED has sold all pre-launch units of Riviera Residences, a development designed by Herzog & de Meuron on Al Reem Island in Abu Dhabi.
The developer launched the project at a gala event that drew investors, architects from Herzog & de Meuron, industry leaders, diplomats, and representatives from Abu Dhabi government institutions.
The event marked the first off-plan unit registration for Riviera Residences within the ADGM system.

Herzog & de Meuron’s design takes inspiration from Abu Dhabi‘s pearl-diving heritage. The façades shimmer with natural light, creating a presence that combines contemporary design with references to local culture.
The development on Al Reem Island features over 400 apartments and 11 villas, including sky villas, ocean villas, and a penthouse.
The project features landscaped gardens, trees, and green spaces. Amenities include four swimming pools, a fitness centre, indoor and outdoor yoga areas, wellness spaces, a padel court, table tennis facilities, and an ice bath. Indoor and outdoor lounges with fireplaces and family areas provide spaces for residents.
Promenade to feature dining and retail
Riviera Residences will include a promenade with cafés, dining venues, and retail outlets overlooking the sea and Al Reem skyline, with access to the island’s beaches.
