Developer Arada has appointed UAE-based Engineering Contracting Co. (LLC) as the main contractor for W Residences at Dubai Harbour, a three-tower development on Dubai’s waterfront valued at AED5 billion
Enabling works, including excavation and piling, are already under way at the site following the award of a separate AED51 million contract to APCC Piling & Marine Contracting. The appointment of Engineering Contracting Co. (ECC) under a AED1.55 billion deal marks the next phase of the project.
Under the terms of the contract, ECC will oversee the construction of 490 residences across three towers, along with amenities housed within a connecting podium.

The development will comprise apartments and duplexes, including rooftop penthouses with pools. All homes will feature smart technology, branded kitchens and sanitaryware, floor-to-ceiling windows, and living areas designed to maximise views of the surrounding waterfront.
The destination, which will be operated by Marriott International, is targeting LEED Silver certification and will rise to 40 storeys. Amenities will include what is billed as the longest infinity pool in Dubai, a 40,000-square-foot Wellfit fitness centre, a residents lounge, a music recording studio, a sports simulator room, a games room, a cinema, guest suites, dining outlets and co-working spaces.
W Residences at Dubai Harbour sits within a masterplan developed by Shamal Holding. The Dubai Harbour development incorporates dining, retail and hospitality, as well as a cruise terminal and yachting facilities. Residents will have views of The Palm Jumeirah, Dubai Marina and Bluewaters Island, as well as the open ocean.
