Etihad Airways has laid out the full range of ground services available to passengers flying through Abu Dhabi’s Zayed International Airport, covering the journey from home to seat and back again.

“A calm start makes for a better journey. Whether a guest checks in from home, is met at the door of the terminal or waits in a lounge, the aim is the same, to give guests back the time and peace of mind that travel can otherwise take away,” Captain Majed Al Marzouqi, Chief Operations and Guest Officer, Etihad Airways said in a statement.

At the top of the offer is home check-in, run in partnership with Morafiq. An agent travels to a guest’s home or hotel, checks in all travellers, prints boarding passes and bag tags, and takes luggage away ahead of departure. The service can be arranged between 24 hours and five hours before the flight, is bookable via the Etihad app, phone, WhatsApp, or through Etihad Concierge, and is priced from AED 185 for up to two bags, with additional bags at AED 35 each. Guests in The Residence and First Deluxe receive it complimentarily, and Etihad Guest members can select it as a Custom Benefit.

For those who prefer to drop bags en route, Morafiq’s Remote Check-in service operates at City Terminal locations across Abu Dhabi, including Cruise Terminal 1, Mussafah, Madinat Zayed, and Lulu Hypermarket in Al Ain, with check-in available up to 24 hours before departure.

At the airport, Business guests have priority check-in and a dedicated immigration route, while The Residence and First passengers access exclusive check-in areas and separate immigration services. The Priority Access add-on, available to Economy passengers for purchase up to 90 minutes before departure, or redeemable with Etihad Guest Miles, covers dedicated check-in, priority boarding, and expedited baggage on arrival.

Meet and Assist places a personal host with guests from the departures entrance through to the gate, handling priority lanes along the way. The VIP tier adds a private terminal, porter service, lounge access, and a car to the aircraft. Meet and Assist Plus extends lounge access across more than 100 airports in Etihad’s network. First Deluxe guests receive the standard Meet and Assist as standard.

Premium cabin passengers also qualify for the Etihad Global Chauffeur Service, which covers door-to-door transfers between the airport and any address in the UAE, and at most destinations across the airline’s network.

On arrival, the Land and Leave service, also powered by Morafiq, allows incoming passengers to leave the airport immediately while their bags are collected from the belt and delivered to their door within three hours. It costs from AED 125 for up to two bags, and is complimentary for The Residence and First guests.
