UAE intercepts 8 ballistic missiles and 26 drones in latest Iranian attack
UAE air defences intercepted 8 of 9 ballistic missiles and 26 of 35 drones launched on March 10, 2026, with one missile falling into the sea and nine drones landing within the country’s territory.
Since the start of what the ministry described as brazen Iranian aggression, the UAE has detected 262 ballistic missiles – destroying 241, with 19 falling into the sea and 2 landing on UAE territory. Of 1,475 Iranian drones detected, 1,385 were intercepted while 90 fell within the country. Eight cruise missiles were also detected and destroyed.
The attacks have so far resulted in 6 deaths of Emirati, Pakistani, Nepalese, and Bangladeshi nationals, and 122 injuries spanning 26 nationalities. The Ministry of Defence reaffirmed it remains on full alert to counter all threats to the country’s sovereignty and stability.
