Emirates Airline has signed an agreement with Dubai Investments Park to acquire land for a Cabin Crew Village that will house up to 12,000 cabin crew members.
The development represents a multi-billion-dirham investment and will be delivered through a long-term lease arrangement. Groundbreaking is planned for the second quarter of 2026, with the first phase expected to be completed in 2029.
Ali Mubarak Al Soori, Emirates’ Chief Procurement & Facilities Officer, and Khalid Bin Kalban, Vice Chairman & CEO of Dubai Investments, signed the agreement. The signing took place in the presence of Adel Al Redha, Emirates’ Deputy President and Chief Operating Officer; Abdulaziz Bin Yagub Al Serkal, CEO Glass LLC, Dubai Investments; Omar Al Mesmar, General Manager of Dubai Investments Park, and senior executives from both organisations.

The Cabin Crew Village will consist of 20 residential buildings, each rising 19 floors. The buildings will offer a mix of one, two and three-bedroom units.

The Cabin Crew Village also represents a strategic investment in Emirates’ future, supporting our transition plans to Al Maktoum International and continued growth in the years ahead,” Ali Mubarak Al Soori, Emirates’ Chief Procurement & Facilities Officer said in a statement.
The development will feature a multi-purpose hub with retail outlets, restaurants and food concepts. The village will also include fitness facilities, clinics, and public spaces and parks.
Emirates signs deal for Crew Village between Dubai International and Al Maktoum Airports
Walking trails, resort-style pools, landscaped grounds and green spaces will be woven throughout the development. Each building will have its own facilities.
The Emirates Crew Village is located equidistant between Dubai International Airport and Dubai World Central. The location has been chosen to support the airline’s operational plans and move to Al Maktoum International Airport.
