Dubai Fitness Challenge will mark its tenth edition this year, running from October 31 to November 29, 2026.
The annual initiative, which asks residents and visitors to complete 30 minutes of physical activity every day for 30 consecutive days, has accumulated more than 16 million participants across its first nine editions.
The 2026 programme will include the flagship Dubai Run, Dubai Ride, Dubai Stand Up Paddle and Dubai Yoga events, as well as Fitness Villages, Fitness Hubs and thousands of classes and activations across the emirate. Organisers say the edition will also lean more heavily on digital tools to extend the initiative’s reach.
The Challenge was launched in 2017 under the direction of Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, with an opening edition that drew 786,000 participants.
By the 2025 edition, that figure had grown to more than three million participants in a single instalment. The number of Fitness Hubs, which offer free exercise spaces close to residential areas, has grown from 11 at launch to 30 citywide.
The flagship events have been added incrementally over the years. Dubai Run made its debut in 2019, Dubai Ride followed in 2020, Dubai Stand Up Paddle was introduced at Hatta in 2023, and Dubai Yoga joined the programme in 2024.
The tenth edition is positioned as both a retrospective on the initiative’s first decade and a starting point for its next phase, with organisers framing the long-term goal as making Dubai one of the world’s most active cities year-round rather than across a single month.
