Kuwait says Iranian attacks hit power and water facilities

Kuwait’s Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy said several power-generation and water-desalination facilities were attacked on Monday evening, causing fires at multiple sites for the fourth consecutive day.

Emergency teams, working with the Kuwait Fire Force and security authorities, brought the fires under control and assessed the damage. Repair and rehabilitation work is under way.

The ministry added that several generation units were taken out of service as a precaution to protect equipment and maintain the stability of Kuwait’s electricity and water systems.

UAE condemns renewed Iranian attacks on Bahrain, Kuwait and Jordan

The United Arab Emirates has strongly condemned renewed Iranian attacks targeting Bahrain, Kuwait and Jordan.

In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the attacks violated the sovereignty of the three countries and threatened their security and stability. The UAE reaffirmed its full solidarity with Bahrain, Kuwait and Jordan and supported all measures taken to protect their sovereignty and security.

Bahrain says air defences intercepted Iranian attacks

The Bahrain Defence Force said its air-defence systems intercepted and destroyed several Iranian aerial attacks on Tuesday.

In a statement, the military accused Iran of continuing missile and drone attacks against civilians in the kingdom. It said deliberately targeting civilians and private property with such weapons represents a serious violation of international humanitarian law.

IRGC says crews being evacuated after vessels explode near Strait of Hormuz

The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said rescue teams were evacuating crews from vessels that exploded after allegedly entering what it described as an unsafe route near the Strait of Hormuz.

In its latest statement, the IRGC blamed misleading guidance from the US military and warned shipping companies against using routes it considers dangerous or contaminated between the Gulf and the Sea of Oman.

The IRGC Navy said it remained committed to maintaining control over the strait. Iran’s armed forces also reiterated that shipments of oil, gas and fertiliser through the waterway would remain at risk while US military operations continued in the region.

Qatar resumes maritime navigation within designated coastal areas

Qatar’s Ministry of Transport announced that maritime activities may resume immediately within a zone extending nearly seven nautical miles.

The permitted area runs from Lusail City, including its ports and marine facilities, to Hamad Port in the east, and from Umm Heesh to Doha Salwa in the west.

Vessels operating under international maritime conventions and existing regulations are exempt. The ministry urged all operators to follow official instructions and ensure that required safety and security equipment is available before and during voyages.

Air France extends suspensions of Dubai, Riyadh and Beirut flights

Air France has extended the temporary suspension of flights to Dubai, Riyadh and Beirut due to changing regional operating conditions.

Services to Dubai will remain halted until July 27, 2026, with departures from the city affected through July 28. Riyadh flights are suspended through July 24, with outbound services disrupted until July 25. The suspension of Beirut flights has been extended until August 2.

The airline said each route would resume only after reviewing airspace access and local conditions. Affected passengers may postpone or cancel their bookings without additional fees, including those whose flights are still scheduled.

Trump vows retaliation for deaths of US soldiers

US President Donald Trump said Iran would face a significantly greater response each time an American soldier is killed.

He said the directive had been issued to Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Daniel Caine, and other senior US military leaders.

Trump says Netanyahu will not be arrested in the US

US President Donald Trump said Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu would not be arrested while visiting the United States.

Trump defended Netanyahu’s actions against Iran and accused the Iranian government of killing tens of thousands of protesters and being responsible for the deaths of American soldiers and others over several decades.

He argued that accountability should instead fall on those he blamed for allowing Iran to descend into what he described as a cycle of death and destruction.

CENTCOM strikes Iranian military targets

U.S. Central Command carried out a new round of strikes against Iranian military targets at 9 p.m. ET on July 20.

CENTCOM said the operation targeted command centres, maritime assets, missile and drone launch sites, and air-defence systems to reduce Iran’s ability to attack commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz.

Commercial traffic through the strategic waterway is continuing. Since early May, U.S. forces have supported the passage of about 900 commercial vessels carrying approximately 450 million barrels of crude oil.

CENTCOM said American forces remain ready to respond to attacks against civilian mariners using the strait.

Kuwait intercepts hostile missiles and drones

Kuwait’s air-defence systems intercepted hostile missile and drone attacks amid continuing Iranian aggression, the Kuwaiti Army’s General Staff said.

It added that explosion sounds heard by the public are caused by air-defence systems engaging and intercepting the incoming aerial threats.

Kuwait has strongly condemned the latest Iranian attack on its territory, describing it as a serious violation of the country’s sovereignty and a direct threat to the safety and security of its citizens and residents.

In a Foreign Ministry statement, Kuwait said the continued attacks breach international law, the UN Charter, and UN Security Council Resolution 2817. It warned that they undermine regional and international efforts to reduce tensions.

The ministry stressed that Kuwait’s sovereignty, territorial integrity, and national security are non-negotiable. It added that the country reserves its legitimate right to take all necessary measures to protect itself and maintain stability.

Jordan intercepts three Iranian missiles

Jordan’s air-defence systems intercepted and destroyed three missiles launched from Iran after they entered the country’s airspace overnight, a military source said.

The Jordan Armed Forces–Arab Army said the missiles appeared to be heading toward the kingdom. The interception caused no casualties or property damage.

Qatar called for an immediate and complete end to all military actions threatening the region and reaffirmed its full solidarity with Kuwait and Bahrain, including support for measures taken to protect their sovereignty and security.
