Kuwait has condemned what it called repeated and criminal Iranian attacks on its territory, issuing its strongest rebuke yet after strikes in the early hours of Saturday morning.
The Kuwaiti foreign ministry said the attacks constituted a flagrant violation of the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, and a direct breach of international law, the UN Charter, and UN Security Council resolution 2817 of 2026. The ministry said the strikes amounted to serious escalation at a time when the international community was working to halt military operations and prevent further instability across the region.
The ministry said the attacks could not be justified or accepted under any circumstances, and reaffirmed Kuwait’s full right to take all necessary measures to protect its security and defend its territory and vital infrastructure against any aggression or threat.
